Language Arts & Literature: This course is an integrated approach that encompasses English and the study of literature following the NM Language Arts Content Standards.

Math: This course provides students with a strong foundation in basic math skills. Through hands on activities and discussions, students are able to generalize and apply math skills into higher-level applications.

Science: Students will study basic structures and life requirements of living things. Students will learn basic lab skills and the scientific method through class activities and course work.

Social Studies: This class emphasizes geography, the study of maps, terms, and place locations. Students will also study various cultures and influence on Western Civilization.

Physical Education: This class emphasizes the importance of physical activity in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and develops teamwork through sports activities. Activities include: swimming, volleyball, basketball and softball.

Advisory: This class is a part of the day where students will be able to improve their organizational and time management skills. The honing of these skills will lead to student’s having an easier time adjusting from elementary school to middle school.
